Lord,
; M7 e: B# `9 A$ A; P5 w5 [0 I! ?having transformed
7 y* U5 A. _4 n s0 n: x: h+ L# _6 Ksunshine and soil and water and seed,
/ Z6 l/ L; _- J) T: Finto food upon which we are soon to feed,
$ Y3 `# A* a, H: h8 B" ?& `we thank you for life and we want to stay well, , M1 ]" O! ^5 ?1 q7 |
so we promise to rub our hands with Purell.; K! @) q$ {, }$ L& ?+ ]# S6 K3 U
We who came first and are ready to dine( `$ W9 r5 `/ i1 D3 S! Y$ {
thank you that we’re not still waiting in line,
4 \- k8 k6 M2 Xbut for those who are hungry and eagerly wait,
' g. Z; l& ^" c% \* w$ nwe shall not be greedy and heap up our plate.3 A) m. V' y/ A
Instead we’ll be thoughtful of all the others
7 N! t5 g+ X0 ~: N+ ^ i* `the way we were taught by our own loving mothers.# S6 ?2 t/ f' S% d8 x3 z- l

the aroma of casseroles perfectly toasted
