Lord,
! U0 ~+ i( O2 d' v6 D9 e6 Dhaving transformed
0 R+ S) }2 |2 R( Nsunshine and soil and water and seed,9 Q7 h8 \5 ~' B
into food upon which we are soon to feed,
& k2 c; e. C- ~6 a0 r0 ?we thank you for life and we want to stay well, + w/ `. ?& f# h' l
so we promise to rub our hands with Purell.
* I5 S; K# j h& h, K( jWe who came first and are ready to dine! m! f3 t5 E- w1 I2 A( ]/ X0 m' h
thank you that we’re not still waiting in line, & j5 V0 T. v% K) ?% [
but for those who are hungry and eagerly wait,
' G& b& a8 V1 D" J& C, qwe shall not be greedy and heap up our plate.
K% M( s! t A9 U I; A9 DInstead we’ll be thoughtful of all the others 6 G% C: r5 O; m! F1 T9 D% E
the way we were taught by our own loving mothers.

We smell the potatoes all spicy and roasted
