I was walking along the beach with my Lord.
0 N. y8 _. x7 k, w$ OAcross the sky flashed scenes from my life.& Z& K+ J  K* ?6 m
For each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,' D; S- Y$ @; s  N! u
one belonging to me
- Q/ O, |% z+ L3 R& M* ^5 eand the other to my Lord.2 R; J, w; D1 ~; N& f8 F
When the last scene of my life shot before me+ B+ D) o) D' U- N
I looked back at the footprints in the sand.& _5 T  y" }/ m) E& h; t$ w% g
There was only on set of footprints.1 h: m$ m" f+ [. g/ _
I realized that this was at the lowest
0 l5 O) Y1 G& Gand saddest times in my life.
; H  o  B% Y- N, k! [+ X  yThis always bothered me
7 C, c$ a% Z0 D1 A/ w4 E6 }/ ~and I questioned the Lord& G  |- i5 q5 ?4 f: @2 O* ~1 R; a0 \
about my dilemma.! ]* i$ g) }8 N; a4 _! q8 m, l
"Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You,# V3 z& [. m( r' x0 Q" d
You would walk and talk with me all the way.8 I( e# ?4 |. g* A+ i( [9 d
But I'm aware that during the most troublesome
# K: e( E+ u. p4 Dtimes of my life there is only one set of footprints.
' n: v! I! T3 ~) @/ U% `I don't understand why, when I needed You most, 3 ~- x( Q' r* L: g% m8 L
you leave me."
; F! D% K8 ~6 }* c8 wHe whispered,  "My precious, precious child,9 V9 g& Y9 e7 X% A0 J) c* f4 `7 g
