Footprints in the Sand

One night I had a dream
+ R% [3 W& @+ D) X$ rI was walking along the beach with my Lord.# o5 c) p1 k( e& o/ `$ i
Across the sky flashed scenes from my life.
5 p9 |- m* _& }2 x/ o9 U: ^For each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,5 u* i0 n9 D' Y% U# v5 ]3 |
one belonging to me
5 W( D0 W) l9 e5 ]; qand the other to my Lord." @. Q) l! e7 l4 T# ], Y( a
When the last scene of my life shot before me. e' J0 J  C  }- \7 [/ ]/ D
I looked back at the footprints in the sand.+ X/ G- m! g) I+ B' ^! ~
There was only on set of footprints.' _4 w+ [* {+ {1 N4 G5 d3 q
I realized that this was at the lowest
6 B# c$ P" i0 n9 ?7 L* i. Iand saddest times in my life.
* R) j) e5 L8 i* A* _* U1 d% JThis always bothered me 3 J! W" o8 F! [4 s, L: ]1 b
and I questioned the Lord
# L7 M- ?* F6 I# p2 Wabout my dilemma.
0 W0 B! o' l4 h+ y+ \0 ?"Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You,
- z8 _/ a& ?, |; J9 LYou would walk and talk with me all the way.% I4 p) {( A6 j7 w
But I'm aware that during the most troublesome
& n0 I3 j! i" i8 Ytimes of my life there is only one set of footprints.9 L7 }' o# v& U. F
I don't understand why, when I needed You most, ! ?, S, Z8 T7 U) e7 ^: b
you leave me.": R: S3 y$ m$ S7 [6 }
He whispered,  "My precious, precious child,
