Footprints in the Sand

, a+ F: k. d: Y3 BOne night I had a dream
) P. k! T3 G3 K0 Q9 O" XI was walking along the beach with my Lord.
9 q, M& O0 d* p" Y/ _1 c5 h- Y- bAcross the sky flashed scenes from my life.+ N& ?: j" [! ^$ Z
For each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,2 B' G, R: c. H! x: i: I
one belonging to me
; F, O3 f: t( K* h, Pand the other to my Lord.
2 j. l: @8 y2 Z$ l7 F( ^  V0 TWhen the last scene of my life shot before me
! ]1 S# O; F* Z$ e2 @" u2 bI looked back at the footprints in the sand.
9 x3 j0 i+ L' |3 @4 N$ b% {  LThere was only on set of footprints.
$ ?9 E3 M3 ^8 F. E: d5 Z% }+ M3 }I realized that this was at the lowest
5 q1 p6 ?# x+ F7 d: W9 i7 ]and saddest times in my life.2 k7 h8 {, @7 i8 C# p
This always bothered me 2 `! O, P: l8 h, Y; W; y* d: T% p
and I questioned the Lord
! t1 _& L  i6 \$ }! yabout my dilemma.
" o. n+ G. Y8 |4 H4 P5 {0 D"Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You,, s1 ]  N7 C6 j8 |3 s* {# B
You would walk and talk with me all the way.; p0 ^9 Y3 @, [- }, Q/ r1 ~* `
But I'm aware that during the most troublesome 1 z8 Z8 [/ L! r; b
times of my life there is only one set of footprints.6 p, O+ z4 A+ B( Z+ P" C+ i
I don't understand why, when I needed You most,
1 F! o! _: f7 K4 d/ x9 yyou leave me."+ B: Y. N2 l) B# |
He whispered,  "My precious, precious child,
; y% e0 T2 _" u9 A+ i) I; u' _I love you and will never leave you9 C2 i) w5 U" O! B- W
never, ever during your times of trial and testings.' q5 X/ h* ?! e& o. ?$ ^
When you saw only one set of footprints
