Footprints in the Sand" b& G4 d+ j9 Z3 d* k5 K3 ?

9 ^1 H& I# r# v' COne night I had a dream) m$ e/ E- s  F2 g* y% J. z
I was walking along the beach with my Lord.
2 Q2 I9 L4 s, UAcross the sky flashed scenes from my life.3 y* Y0 l% \/ G
For each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,) M  G/ u, \7 w8 w+ T* u; O: I! k
one belonging to me
1 S5 k& u' S# i  u4 f! cand the other to my Lord.
7 O9 V: s/ o2 _* Q7 T+ r, B" k; JWhen the last scene of my life shot before me
5 e. n1 E5 `3 [I looked back at the footprints in the sand.8 @8 M+ P% N# |, ^+ u# Y6 X
There was only on set of footprints.
+ N5 ~% r: r& V+ xI realized that this was at the lowest ' ^8 h! b" R+ l
and saddest times in my life.
) F, ^" d, ]( c) z/ A/ g. [; AThis always bothered me 7 e* g# N% A- R. q) B
and I questioned the Lord
/ `( R) v; Z8 ^7 G6 i8 fabout my dilemma.9 V# b2 m5 w! A2 h1 \
"Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You,# d1 y  a# `7 u" C+ P
You would walk and talk with me all the way.
4 O  F$ U' b0 h! K2 L2 x' zBut I'm aware that during the most troublesome 1 Z8 W0 a9 o8 s, n
times of my life there is only one set of footprints.
! C- G/ _6 o$ z0 X' |& d) RI don't understand why, when I needed You most,
+ P7 `8 \) \9 X4 E  o+ }; W8 \' Hyou leave me."; D( j3 p1 x1 d/ [" ?6 ?6 f  p
He whispered,  "My precious, precious child,8 f0 \( L7 s* F2 }9 @5 ]4 _
I love you and will never leave you
