I was walking along the beach with my Lord.8 T" d- I+ ~& e+ d, n- B
Across the sky flashed scenes from my life.: }' X0 a- i" X7 a5 r0 J' I
For each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,4 C- K7 L1 Z! n7 _
one belonging to me3 A. I" s/ z3 ^% C$ M4 m) A+ Q
and the other to my Lord.3 }& U. v" d5 V; t

"Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You, $ m( F6 @; Y4 C' B. sYou would walk and talk with me all the way.; _! g+ W7 m/ k- R0 @; m6 H& b2 ~
But I'm aware that during the most troublesome # `) C, s' e4 B: K. O2 U" `times of my life there is only one set of footprints.# ^0 a6 C5 Q% }) i5 X& b% ?" @
