2 ?; [. ?: z+ I* KOne night I had a dream8 F! g4 o! d/ X4 \1 J# O
I was walking along the beach with my Lord.6 u& q- ?9 o  L. H6 j" X
Across the sky flashed scenes from my life.
( M0 \0 O& j5 Y2 W! `For each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,
6 g0 U9 v8 f( L8 N, Y9 Z4 _one belonging to me( m. R- L1 M$ g0 O
and the other to my Lord.
( y& J+ W. K( L' L) ^4 b5 |4 E7 gWhen the last scene of my life shot before me) ^: ?) c5 t3 m, J. z
I looked back at the footprints in the sand.
0 z/ n* V- X  X' I5 ^4 fThere was only on set of footprints.) _: A4 q  b+ Z5 @* y
I realized that this was at the lowest
3 D, f% w& [* }/ \+ j' S3 Iand saddest times in my life.
. |; Q# d: s: k: [' Z' a6 uThis always bothered me
* {0 {, ?& ?) }5 ]and I questioned the Lord
* ~' c: |6 S2 j3 uabout my dilemma.* {/ H+ m" P8 L( l
"Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You,
/ ~4 U: p# p! EYou would walk and talk with me all the way.- N4 y; m* h  R, ^9 @
But I'm aware that during the most troublesome
5 V# ]) G9 `# ~6 m6 X4 Wtimes of my life there is only one set of footprints.
6 ?/ L) J- C- e) B. RI don't understand why, when I needed You most,
8 w; I9 G4 ^2 K$ ayou leave me."
  m& }( O0 F" sHe whispered,  "My precious, precious child,) Y% E  _- m6 ]5 \# F1 g

When you saw only one set of footprints
