Footprints in the Sand

# p& \  [* j! C' X0 K+ h9 u+ QOne night I had a dream7 A$ s# A& H& T! ?
I was walking along the beach with my Lord.0 x, R0 l+ d* \" k0 \; ~) f
Across the sky flashed scenes from my life.
- ]7 Q' X9 _; p; N, |7 fFor each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,
: E; ?, a8 Z; L$ hone belonging to me
& Y" }! E; N0 T! K* Hand the other to my Lord.0 z$ f5 [7 D2 ^' F' n* f
When the last scene of my life shot before me6 y( b  [# e/ W: n( K2 g
I looked back at the footprints in the sand.8 H+ `3 n4 v/ C$ N( H7 p
There was only on set of footprints.
5 ~3 b* J  v7 ~' S- I# KI realized that this was at the lowest # A% ^; \- k# v4 u- q
and saddest times in my life.
  H# v: l; l. Q! [This always bothered me
  N# p  L! _! n/ Rand I questioned the Lord
' l: q: \4 e/ t! [8 }: S" o: tabout my dilemma.. e" o  U" @+ g9 q6 e
"Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You,
: Z. Q* B2 e% Q9 j6 r8 N+ TYou would walk and talk with me all the way.
. p, c0 V1 w" _But I'm aware that during the most troublesome
* L: B& K6 R2 P9 C+ A3 h3 @; M4 ptimes of my life there is only one set of footprints.
+ X7 V$ C- k+ j- U$ M/ II don't understand why, when I needed You most,
