Lord,
! g) I7 U- o3 r( Rhaving transformed# `/ Z& {+ C5 L% V' ]. N+ K7 O
sunshine and soil and water and seed,& O1 U2 Z7 T- K C4 i: ^
into food upon which we are soon to feed, 6 \ H0 ^& _* |
we thank you for life and we want to stay well,
. `0 t$ R% z8 Q* ?so we promise to rub our hands with Purell.
3 C3 G4 |. I/ l; BWe who came first and are ready to dine
( f0 a- o) ~! r6 _thank you that we’re not still waiting in line, ; w& H4 w: }- y. x& w
but for those who are hungry and eagerly wait, 9 O' j. n. Z1 F. x$ t
we shall not be greedy and heap up our plate.7 ]0 @( T/ {" i0 m$ o. @( U% ?
Instead we’ll be thoughtful of all the others
! l; _% M K3 j# i6 ?- L/ @( Ethe way we were taught by our own loving mothers.

We smell the potatoes all spicy and roasted

We thank you for people so generous and kind
