having transformed& U2 r+ |7 n$ H6 B/ G
sunshine and soil and water and seed,
2 y9 y9 P. j8 Xinto food upon which we are soon to feed,
$ t$ l y, B% Y" T; V, xwe thank you for life and we want to stay well,
; }. q$ s$ @8 Tso we promise to rub our hands with Purell.
x; P# D' _, n4 f/ pWe who came first and are ready to dine0 X- J" x$ ?2 ?6 V( v; _
thank you that we’re not still waiting in line, x- o [" i) T; z. h
but for those who are hungry and eagerly wait,
9 i$ v ~8 c3 ?! U% A5 twe shall not be greedy and heap up our plate.3 K/ z/ C) @6 @& b/ S
Instead we’ll be thoughtful of all the others
* s! b9 N- j: n7 rthe way we were taught by our own loving mothers.( B; b) j% {/ }; t4 H% m

We smell the potatoes all spicy and roasted ' V- x0 N7 m9 }8 o7 y) R
the aroma of casseroles perfectly toasted 3 g# v7 S! v' [0 l! M6 a
We thank you for people so generous and kind
