Lord,
% I. P0 P5 u$ a6 f2 m/ v2 lhaving transformed
& [- Y* p& n" x/ q- ssunshine and soil and water and seed,
& n3 T* g" B6 _0 _5 |( [into food upon which we are soon to feed,
L& b& L' X% ^8 U1 |* mwe thank you for life and we want to stay well, I# i) [6 j9 v7 f% r% J
so we promise to rub our hands with Purell.
- O* }% w, b* W4 Y: LWe who came first and are ready to dine
5 p# A9 O2 Z: s7 f1 X, H2 Ethank you that we’re not still waiting in line,
5 Q7 Q4 _0 N/ I& _, e1 abut for those who are hungry and eagerly wait,
: q: R. D" A4 S! s8 t6 Fwe shall not be greedy and heap up our plate.$ i4 w. X0 A* ~0 J2 [5 O
Instead we’ll be thoughtful of all the others 5 N; ~5 a: S# Z6 l$ S: l
the way we were taught by our own loving mothers.
