I was walking along the beach with my Lord.3 {- W9 N; m8 ~' D
Across the sky flashed scenes from my life.3 G% W1 ^' |# c- P$ s
For each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,
) O% `+ U# h. g+ h. N7 e: ~: p; tone belonging to me/ n4 U$ r* f$ K
and the other to my Lord.
/ R  j# L1 Z5 `) XWhen the last scene of my life shot before me7 \5 v+ ]$ |- v' I3 m, ~
I looked back at the footprints in the sand.
2 [1 n7 [* F: O" t0 S0 J6 o- JThere was only on set of footprints.
/ w3 ?; J9 y+ n  {$ |$ F3 HI realized that this was at the lowest 1 N3 M5 x) a' k* h$ ?
and saddest times in my life.4 C1 ~' P! U+ @$ d
This always bothered me / a) o9 H9 `2 M# O' X
and I questioned the Lord: H) n2 _+ ^8 \: C* d
about my dilemma.9 w. |3 R. U/ v+ H3 p$ c" M' B
"Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You,
2 K% ]/ X8 N3 o: v  hYou would walk and talk with me all the way.
) O7 Z7 }5 x7 V: m6 P/ u( TBut I'm aware that during the most troublesome ; ~& s/ H1 _/ t
times of my life there is only one set of footprints.
) S: g4 q$ ?, X* T& Y& dI don't understand why, when I needed You most,
0 w* o/ ?4 g; q: j4 S% d! x/ Wyou leave me."
