Footprints in the Sand

& k+ d9 r+ u: F6 GOne night I had a dream" |) z8 G/ f$ C7 ~1 W, J8 I. B/ O8 a
I was walking along the beach with my Lord." x# d) p$ e1 d; Q6 g1 T" Y. L
Across the sky flashed scenes from my life.  K* j' x' h4 [- \+ O0 |, D: i* Y
For each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,, \+ m, X6 j* x6 u5 g5 X
one belonging to me
. J% B' m4 W% T$ \1 gand the other to my Lord." b5 D( a; Q2 ~3 t. }
When the last scene of my life shot before me( s/ n9 @4 k0 p& H* @& S
I looked back at the footprints in the sand.! `4 ^0 A/ k' S  h0 ^9 t
There was only on set of footprints.
. f: O8 [9 {$ ^- V& I; _. H4 S9 yI realized that this was at the lowest
" k# E0 O8 W1 e& u% wand saddest times in my life.
" E0 E8 o+ n8 l+ Z! m' C3 C: UThis always bothered me 8 F1 \5 Y: p3 p  R
and I questioned the Lord
2 f# L2 h. g. habout my dilemma.1 O3 ?# m5 U5 S8 p' z2 G
"Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You,, w  z& m8 v0 O  z1 x
You would walk and talk with me all the way.5 y2 F4 v8 Z0 A* b# z
But I'm aware that during the most troublesome 4 M! f# F  K2 D8 j' d; a
times of my life there is only one set of footprints.
2 S0 J3 s3 Z3 E+ F; |& QI don't understand why, when I needed You most,
2 D! N) Y7 V( {. c% g0 Y  Tyou leave me."" B; \4 W% [1 n) r; B, ]
He whispered,  "My precious, precious child,4 A5 U# j3 d2 M: n% B/ D

never, ever during your times of trial and testings.6 E. Z6 }0 l$ o. G' j; N& E
When you saw only one set of footprints
