$ K' B6 q# l0 j& d* c2 e; C! uOne night I had a dream1 S  T, {, p) G1 L! R2 b' J
I was walking along the beach with my Lord.; Z( F2 T6 ^6 D8 t! k- e  C
Across the sky flashed scenes from my life.
& ^8 J" {) a1 R7 G3 c5 EFor each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,( I  Q* d$ y" X" G3 s9 h; u: \
one belonging to me* G8 Q$ u/ n% A9 d6 h, j) l- W
and the other to my Lord.
% I1 Z- c. l" V$ WWhen the last scene of my life shot before me
( s" i* N, [$ B/ D9 wI looked back at the footprints in the sand.6 H" [  y5 }" H; V- [
There was only on set of footprints.
5 L* C5 G! b3 {' i2 _I realized that this was at the lowest
% N( `0 x5 M3 b2 u1 Rand saddest times in my life.
. d, Q7 ?1 u+ S. A8 |This always bothered me % i! `  z- O! F2 l# p9 N3 r- F  r
and I questioned the Lord
: X& S  K! I3 y# {( K7 pabout my dilemma.- ^* X! B% w6 O/ \( y9 K9 f
"Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You,
; \) f; k2 v% |5 t+ m- P% E- x0 VYou would walk and talk with me all the way.
$ {: J% f  m5 ^$ n7 M4 j$ JBut I'm aware that during the most troublesome
$ U& Q3 Z/ q/ I6 {- `/ |) s( g* btimes of my life there is only one set of footprints.
$ N+ ^: ]& W" s5 l6 s5 EI don't understand why, when I needed You most, ; U) v1 w' O0 Z2 C' w
you leave me."
0 ~( {/ a. i; W  n, f9 ?/ I; T3 CHe whispered,  "My precious, precious child,
& C, F3 C2 b1 O! o/ `I love you and will never leave you

It was then that I carried you."
