Footprints in the Sand

, `& e2 \. x; y9 R+ ~One night I had a dream$ e$ H. }- u; b4 B+ a
I was walking along the beach with my Lord.' x4 f2 K3 q. f1 j+ [* ~
Across the sky flashed scenes from my life.8 P( ]5 f3 x6 q; C
For each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,. P; @! i. l% `
one belonging to me. g" w+ a2 @* T. {3 t1 |7 h, @6 f
and the other to my Lord." z# o" u- F9 o4 o/ F  C9 t7 T
When the last scene of my life shot before me
2 i! N% H- w# rI looked back at the footprints in the sand.
- H9 j+ o! K5 HThere was only on set of footprints.
9 D; F  v* K$ P2 i: UI realized that this was at the lowest
' Q' C- n0 l! G% n2 k+ v* \and saddest times in my life.7 a9 Z' |& [3 D& G
This always bothered me
  U! d$ K( ~" X1 d; mand I questioned the Lord5 }/ x5 ^% R' P* b
about my dilemma.
4 r; v* n2 _4 T. z/ Y' I8 I"Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You,
- b' K0 J. ~# Z  ?) ^: B8 V( x2 FYou would walk and talk with me all the way.) {/ u+ J* g( T) ]; j
But I'm aware that during the most troublesome ' R5 b: `" e' E, Z) J, n3 F0 K
times of my life there is only one set of footprints.
7 s' i$ v9 N- g, K, lI don't understand why, when I needed You most, 0 [' F- t; _" R) L( [1 A1 _
you leave me."
